Meet the Principal

Abdi Lidonde

Principal: Abdi S. Lidonde, Ed.D.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Old Dominion University

 

Before joining Southbridge Public Schools, Dr. Lidonde served as a turnaround principal at elementary schools in Providence Public Schools, where he developed and implemented strategies to improve student success, monitor achievement, hire and evaluate staff, and foster parent involvement.

 

Previously, he served as an assistant principal in Worcester Public Schools and held roles as a student support team coordinator and turnaround plan administrator. Dr. Lidonde began his educational career at the Goddard School of Science and Technology in Worcester and later taught at other schools in the district before transitioning to administrative roles. His commitment to educational excellence and creating supportive school environments has been the cornerstone of his leadership journey.
